Shaker Raised Shutters

Shaker Raised shutters generate a less formal appearance on building versus the classical raised panel style. This shutter style acquired its name from the no frills, yet functional design standards of the Shaker religious community. The shutters rails, stiles and panels are fabricated square with no ornate profiles added. This shutter type is an excellent choice for brick or stucco faced homes wanting to create a less formal appearance offered by classical raised panel and not as relaxed as board and batten.

Weather Works* Shaker Raised style shutters can be made with any number of panels with the 3 panel configuration being the norm. Although arched top configurations can be accommodated, they are not the norm. The panel design basically defines the product type, there are two panel raising angles which provides greater optical depth to the shutter.
